Right bedrooms done and I'm doing the kitchen - yet again! This is one room that just constantly needs work doing on it!
ALso the problem with my kitchen is that we only moved in a month ago and Sam just dumped things in the cupboard hickle-de-pickle-de so that needs organising - so kids depending, that is what I'm doing today!
I will start off with doing all the washing up - I need to have clear and clean surfaces to be able to empty cupboards onto - so after washing up I'll wipe down the surfaces.
I will then start, by doing one cupboard at a time organising them - will have all crockery in one (currently spread over 2), or mugs and glasses in one (currently spread over 2) - I have a cupboard for all the baby stuff (bottles etc) which just seems to have everythign dumped in so that needs sorting - and the cupboard above the sink is a mix of crisps, cleaning stuff and oils!
So heres my list for the kitchen:
1) wash up and put away
2) Wipe down surfaces
3) One by one empty cupboards, wipe down shelves, refill cupboards
4) Wipe down surfaces again
5) Go through fridge, get rid of anything out of date, wipe down shelves and door
6) Hobs needs cleaning
7) Sink needs cleaning and shining
8)Floor - sweep, hoover, mop!
If I can I'd like to do all this today - but with 2 children under 2 this is not always possible so will just do as much as I can!

Bedroom continued ....
Well I did very well with my bedroom yesterday and I plan on finishing it today - its not easy trying to organise things with 2 grumpy children in tow so it often takes quite a while to get little jobs done!
Oh well, as long as they get done thats all that matters I suppose.
These are the photos I took yesterday before I started:
I will take some photos when I've finished so you can see the difference!

Todays jobs!!
Ok, today I'm going to straighten up my kitchen - wont take long, only bout half an hour as I just need to wash up and wipe the sides down.
Actually all the cupboards need sorting as when we moved in Sam just put things anywhere - but that can wait until the rest of the house is in order.
My main job of today will be my bedroom - I need to clear away the dirty clothes, put clean clothes away, change the bedding, dust, hoover, bring dirty crockery down, remove toys - oh there is lots to do as I always leave my bedroom as noone else (well apart from Sam) sees it so I dont view it as important!
But I cant keep putting it off so that is my job for the day!!!!

Why Have I Created This??
My marriage is a partnership! We share everything, we talk about everything! But one this is not equal - and thats the housework.
Dont get me wrong, my husband does his best, he'll wash up if he has to but it wouldn't occur to him to wipe the sides down; he'll put the toys away, but any round the edges would be left, Oh and he hoovers, but always does this first so if anythings in the way he just barges it with the vacuum so never does a proper job.
I used to think, why do I bother? He only wrecks it when he gets home.
But I have to bother! If the house is a mess it really gets to me and does make me feel depressed! Whereas, if the house is clear, clean and tidy I dont feel guilty about sitting down to watch the telly, or surf the internet or do some scrapbooking!
So why create a blog about being a housewife?? Well it will help spur me on, to keep at it and I hope, if anyone was to read this, it would help them feel better about their homes.
I know that with 1 husband, 2 kids and a dog I'm never going to have a show home - this is about keeping on top of it all so it doesn't get to much and I end up with Kim and Aggie coming to see me! Its about my kids not being embarrassed to bring friends home (when they are old enough, they're still only babies). Its about being proud of being a Housewife and not thinking of myself as "just a" housewife!
